ways to Meditate.
Breathe.
Sit in a comfortable postion or lie on your back. Hands resting on the top of your thighs. Close your eyes. As you gently inhale and exhale focus on the rise and fall of your chest. For a more calming sensation, make your exhale longer than your inhale.
Walk mindfully.
Go for a quiet walk in nature, preferably by yourself. Become aware of how your senses interact with your surroundings. Notice the feeling of your feet on the ground. The breeze in your hair. The shape of the leaves as sunlight spills through the branches. Listen to the birds or take in the smell of the lake.
Body Scan.
Sit in a comfortable position or lie on your back. Bring your attention to your feet, and without judgement of being good or bad, notice any sensations that arise. How do they feel, are they tired, cold/warm, in need of stretch? Gently work your way up to the top of the head.
